Meet Our Medical Director

Dr. Reina Ayala, originally from San Diego, California, she discovered her passion for medicine while studying biology at the University of California, Berkeley, and later received her medical degree from the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara in Mexico.

As a graduate of the YRMC family medicine residency program, Dr. Ayala has built a stellar reputation for providing comprehensive and compassionate care to families in Yuma and the surrounding communities.

Fluent in Spanish, Dr. Ayala bridges language barriers, delivering personalized care to all members of the community. In her role with Hospice of Yuma, she offers empathetic end-of-life support to patients and their families, ensuring they receive the utmost care and comfort.

Outside of her demanding career, she is a devoted mother who cherishes every moment with her family. Hospice of Yuma is excited to welcome Dr. Reina Ayala to their team, anticipating a promising future together filled with empathetic, enriching care for the community.
