Lorenia Villaescusa
My name is Lorenia Villaescusa, and I have been a Bereavement and Community Services Counselor with Hospice of Yuma since June of 2021. I graduated from Cetys University in Mexicali, Baja California in 2010 with a master’s degree in psychology and a concentration in family therapy. I am a certified Grief Recovery Specialist providing support to individuals and families in our community. My professional goal is to assist people to learn to walk their own grief journey and grow from it.

Joanna Reyna
My name is Joanna Reyna. I am a Bereavement Counselor and Social Worker at Hospice of Yuma. My journey into this work began in 2022 when I started volunteering with the agency after experiencing a profound loss. Through that experience, I found healing and a renewed sense of purpose, which inspired me to pursue a career supporting others through grief. I went on to earn my Master of Social Work from Northern Arizona University. My personal and professional experiences with loss have taught me that grief can feel overwhelming, but no one has to walk that path alone. My goal is to offer compassionate support and help individuals and families find healing, hope, and connection along their grief journey.
