About Hospice of Yuma

Hospice of Yuma has served the community since 1981, providing compassionate care for many terminally ill patients and their families. We focus on helping patients and families cope with what they fear most about dying - being in pain, being alone, losing control, and being a burden to others. For patients, hospice care offers emotional and spiritual support and state-of-the-art medical care, tailored to the patient's wishes to remain at home, as pain free and comfortable as possible. Upcoming Events

Ocean to Ocean Gala

October 16, 2010
This is an opportunity to dress up and enjoy a lovely dinner (which includes hors d'oeuvre and dessert buffets), dance under the stars to live music and bid on beautiful jewelry, art, trips and other treasures that are donated from individuals and businesses for the silent auction.

Light-A-Light

December, 2010
The Holidays bring special memories to the forefront of one's life, and an ancient adage declares that a person lives as long as he or she is remembered. Hospice of Yuma invites people to make donations in memory or in honor of their loved ones and friends, and we in turn send lovely crocheted snowflakes to the donors as remembrances to hang on their holiday trees or in their windows.

Roping Roundup

February 5, 2011
An annual event which has exploded into a day-long extravaganza with family entertainment and fun. The afternoon is devoted to families with games to entertain the children, team roping, barrel racing, and a chili cook-off. Hot dogs, ice cream cones, peanuts, popcorn and soda are available all day long at no charge. The evening begins with a tri-tip steak barbecue and country western entertainment under the stars. Past entertainers include Tracy Byrd, Josh Gracin,Terri Clark, Mark Chestnutt and Collin Raye. Tickets are only available in advance.

P.K. Hodges Southwest AG Golf Tournament

April, 2011
This tournament is recognized as one of the oldest, most visible and respected tournaments in the community. The tournament includes two dinners, a luncheon and two days of golf for both men and women. It requires two local golf courses and is hospice's third largest annual fund raiser.

Mother's Day Phantom Tea

May, 2011
We encourage those who have received the invitation (which includes a tea bag) to enjoy a cup of tea at home and send a donation in honor or in memory of their loved ones and friends.
